Quebec City
At La Maison Smith, With many locations we're fortunate that the original café is nestled
in the charming old centre. When the weather plays nice, there's nothing quite like enjoying a coffee in our cobblestoned courtyard — it's a little slice of history under the open sky.
About La Maison Smith. According to the land records from SODEQ, the caretakers of Place-Royale, the foundation of our first building dates all the way back to 1653. The name "La Maison Smith" pays tribute to Charles Smith and his descendants, who made this place their home for nearly a century during the 18th and 19th centuries. The name and the year "1653" are our little nod to the rich history of this area, celebrating both the French and English influences that shaped it.
Founded in the heart of Old Quebec in 2013, La Maison Smith is a family business on the rise. We're driven by the connections we make within our community and strive to blend into the neighborhoods we join, embracing the unique vibe of each. Our passion is delivering high-quality, locally roasted coffee, along with a wide variety of beverages, dishes, and homemade treats. After all, good coffee and good company never go out of style!
