Stepping into Giovane Caffè at the Shangri-La Hotel in Toronto felt like walking into a perfectly curated modern sanctuary. The space immediately struck me with its warm wood tones, minimalist shelving, and a giant black “g” prominently displayed as if to remind you that you’re about to experience something uniquely Giovane. The perforated ceiling added a subtle touch of texture, creating a soothing yet sophisticated atmosphere. Behind the counter, a friendly barista was busy preparing drinks amidst shelves stocked with coffee beans, vibrant snacks, and small decor touches, including neatly arranged plants that brought the whole scene to life.

While chatting with the barista about his journey into the coffee industry, he shared some insights and, to my surprise, offered me an off-the-menu cortado.

The logo features a bold, lowercase “g” in white, set against a soft yellow background, creating a modern yet approachable feel. Its simple, clean lines reflect the café’s minimalist aesthetic while the rounded edges evoke warmth and friendliness. The tagline beneath, "cafe + eatery + market," emphasizes the multi-faceted nature of the brand in a sleek, understated font.
