Toronto

Canada's first Ace Hotel has opened in Toronto, situated in a new building designed by Shim-Sutcliffe Architects. This structure features a lobby dramatically suspended from massive concrete arches—because who needs gravity?

Located in the city's Garment District, near Downtown and the vibrant Queen Street West area, the hotel sits in a neighborhood historically known for manufacturing but now celebrated for its arts and culture venues.

The project includes custom-designed furniture and lighting, alongside locally sourced vintage pieces. Consistent with other Ace Hotel locations, the lobby serves as a community hub, offering coffee and pastries in the morning.

In keeping with the local focus, the hotel serves coffee from Sam James Coffee Bar.
